St Patrick’s Athletic’s preparations for this week’s Uefa Europa League play-off against Steaua Bucharest have prompted the postponement of an FAI Ford Cup replay against Monaghan United.

Following Friday night’s 0-0 draw against Mons at Kingspan Century Park, a replay was due to have taken place tonight (Monday).

But the Saints requested a postponement, a request which was supported by Monaghan, and the FAI have duly onliged.

The game will now take place at Richmond Park on Monday, September 7th.

The Saints squad sets off for the Romanian capital on Tuesday ahead of Thursday evening’s play-off round first leg tie in the Ghencea Stadium.
