St Patrick's Athletic 2 - Sligo Rovers 21: Moran concedes a free kick straihgt from the kick off 1: Guy's cross from the left beats everybody, goal kick to Sligo. 2: The Saints are playing into the Inchicore end for the first half. 3: Quigley's left footed shot from the edge of the area is easily saved 4: Partridge concedes a free on the edge of the box.....Holmes free kick is touched onto the post by Rogers and out for a SLigo corner. 5: Corner is cleared and ends up back in in Rogers arms. 5: Maher does well up the right but then fouls Almeida when there is no need. 6: Now Quigley concedes a free...taken into the Pats box but the ref awards a free out for a foul on Gary Rogers. 8: A good hit from Mark Quigley from distance after some nice play but it goes just wide. Better from the Saints. 10: A shot from the left from Holmes comes off Gavin and goes for a corner. 11: Quigley looks to dispossess Almeida and looks like he's fouled but the ref waves his claims away. 12: O'Connor and Stevens combine well up the left, Stevens crosses low but Quigley's tame shot goes wide. 15: Bit scrappy now but free in to the Saints inside the Sligo half...Cawley to take 16: Free in cleared easily, as is Gavin's return into the box. 17: Decent football around the area from Moran, Stevens and Quigley but it comes to nothing. 18: ANother free in to the Saints and again for a foul on Quigley....Cawley takes, it goes deep and Quigley can't keep it from going out of play. 19: Corner to Sligo....Holmes takes but it beats everybody and goes for a goal kick. 20: Guy tries to play Moran in after a good cross field ball from Cawley but it comes to nothing. 21: Moran puts in a dangerous ball from the right but Quigley can't get 23: Sligo on the attack this time but its eventually cleared 24: Free in right on the edge of the area for Pats after O'Connor is brought down. 25: Cawley hits it but its cleared and ends up as a corner to Pats. 26: The corner drops for O'Connor on the edge of the box but his shot is well wide. 28: Boco had a chance for SLigo but it was cleared 29: Boco strikes again but just over 31: Good play from Stevens and Ryan sets up Quigley, he does well to control it but his shot goes just over. 33: Free in to Pats, Stevens takes but Brush gathers it. 34: Cross from Holmes almost finds Keane on the far post but it goes wide for a goal kick. 36: Saints nearly get caught at the back but Maher does well to dispossess Cretaro. 39: Not a lot happening here unfortunately. 42: Goal Saints - cross from Garreth O'Connor from the left, Guy tries to flick it on but it goes straight into the far corner. One nil to Pats. 43: Cretaro knock the ball back for Boco who shoots....deflected into Gary Rogers arms. 45: Quigley and Moran are two and two with the SLigo defence but Quigley plays a weak ball in for Moran and Sligo clear. 46: TWo minutes added on, corner to the Saints but Brush holds well. 47: Guys cross from the right goes over Stevens head. HALF - TIME: Saints lead one nil after Garreth O'Connor scores his first goal for the club. 46: Change for Sligo - Cretaro off and Feeney on. 46: Saints start well but but Moran can't control it in the box after quigley flicks it on. 47: Boco has a chance after a mistake by Ryan but his shot is a tame one and doesn't trouble Rogers. 48: Cawley picks out Guy on the right, his shot is deflected for a corner....Cawley takes, Brush punches only as far Guy but he shoots wide when off balance. 49: Corner again for Pats but Brush gathers. 50: Corner for Sligo comes back out to the taker and his cross is headed home by Gavin Peers, one all. 51: Moran has a snap shot from the edge of the area but it goes just wide. 57: Scrappy section of the game again, nothing much happening. Might be time for a change. 61: Guy does well down the right hand side but his shot is deflected and easily taken by Brush. 62: The Saints have upped the tempo again....wonder shot from Cawley - what a goal!!! 62: CAwley gets a yellow card for his celebration but it was worth it after that strike - what a goal, top corner from 25 yards. 63: Cash's shot deflects off Gavin for a corner to Sligo...but they take it short and Maher makes sure it amounts to nothing. 65: Stevens does really well down the left, cuts inside but he's nobody in the box to pick out. 66: Moran strikes from distance but well over. 67: Substitution for Pats - Harris on for Maher. Gavin moves over to right back and Harris partners Partridge in the middle. 70: Pats on top here but without many chances....free in now won by Enda Stevens. 71: Cawley takes it but it comes to nothing. 73: Cash goes off to be replaced by McLouglin. 74: Free in from Cawley but it goes high and wide. 76: Final change for Sligo - didn't see who it was. More importantly Andy Haran is on for Pats in place of Kyle Moran. 78: Dangerous strike from Holmes but it goes wide. 80: Bit of head tennis going on here...no danger thankfully. 82: Haran tries a bit of skill but is unlucky to be dispossessed. 84: Haran is doing his usual stuff and chasing everything down. 85: Quigley goes down the left, tries to break through but it deflects off him and goes for a goal kick. 85: Free in to SLigo now in a dangerous position...Stevens does well to clear, he's done well tonight. 86: Free to Pats inside their own half and chance to slow it down. 87: Change for Pats, John Lester comes on for Alan Cawley who gets a less than warm reception from the SLigo fans. 88: Free in from Sligo from inside their own half, flicked on and headed in by Alan Keane, sloppy, sloppy defending. 89. Two all here and I don't know how. 90: Three minutes added on. 91: Stevens puts a ball in from the left, Quigley claims he was being held but no hope of a peno. 93: Last throw of the dice, Harris up front. FULL TIME - Saints 2 - 2 Sligo Rovers. Not a bad game here but poor defending from set pieces again costs the Saints.
