Having played his schoolboy football with Belvedere FC, Ben joined The Saints Academy in 2018 and went on the have huge success in his five seasons in The Academy.

McCormack won the double with our U15s in his first season in 2018 and quickly progressed into our U17s where won the League of Ireland U17 title in 2019, winning Man of the Match in the League final win against Bohemians at Richmond Park, scoring twice in a 4-0 victory.

Ben also helped our U19s to the Leinster Senior Cup title in 2019, although he didn't appear in the 4-0 final win against Athlone Town due to being away on international duty.

McCormack signed his first professional contract with the club in December 2019 when he was just 16, putting pen to paper on a two year deal.

The midfielder made his senior LOI debut during the shortened 2020 campaign, coming off the bench in a 2-0 win against Shelbourne at Richmond Park in September 2020.

He played a key role for our U19s too as they won the 2020 U19 League of Ireland title and qualified for the UEFA Youth League, Ben featured in the home leg against Red Star Belgrade in 2021.

McCormack, who is from Harmonstown in Dublin, has scored three times in his 46 senior appearances so far, his first senior goal coming in a 6-0 win against Bray Wanderers in the FAI Cup in July 2021.

Ben was part of our 2021 FAI Cup winning squad and also helped our U19s to the league title in 2022.

He has represented Ireland at U15s, U16s, U17 and U19 level. Ben signed a contract extension in July 2021.

Signed for Waterford FC after the 2023 season.
