CORK CITY FIXTURE POSTPONED
The eircom League have this evening confirmed that the meeting of Cork City and St Patrick's Athletic scheduled for next Friday in Turner's Cross has been postponed to facilitate City's participation in the Champions League qualifiers. The League have yet to decide on a date for the fixture.
The postponement of this fixture and the withdrawal of Dublin City from the League now mean that St Pats have no competitive fixtures from this Sunday until the away fixture in Derry on the 11th August and more than five weeks between home fixtures. The club are therefore actively seeking friendly fixtures to provide the team with match practice and the club with vital income.
