Jake Mulraney Pens Multi-Year Extension
St Patrick's Athletic are delighted to announce that Jake Mulraney has signed a multi-year contract extension.
The 28-year-old joined the club ahead of the 2023 campaign, and quickly became a fan favourite.
He has made 77 appearances, scoring 15 times, including our 2023 and 2024 Goals of the Season, as well as assisting two of our goals in the 2023 FAI Cup Final win against Bohemians.
Our 2024 Senior Player of the Year had a year left to run on his contract, but has committed his long-term future by penning a new deal today.
Jake sat down with us after training on Monday afternoon and is over the moon to have signed his new contract:
"I'm delighted to be it done and to put pen to paper and sign.
It's been in the works for a little bit. I know there was speculation and stuff but I didn't want to be anywhere else.
Since The Gaffer (Stephen Kenny) has come in, I feel like we've gone up the gears.
He's made little tweaks and stuff like that, I feel like it's going in the right direction so I just wanted to be part of it.
You can feel that there is a better belief among the group, we are ambitious to do well and we play the type of football that I like, which is another reason why I signed back.
The speed in our attack, the counter attacking football we can play, getting wide players on the ball and trying to make things happen and I'm glad to be part of it."

Manager Stephen Kenny has been welcoming today's announcement:
"Jake has played at a high level in the MLS and also at the top of the SPL with Hearts.
The fact that he wants to spend his peak years with St Patrick's Athletic shows his belief in the rest of his team-mates and illustrates that he is enjoying his football.
He was voted as our Player of the Year last season and is constantly looking to set new standards.
The quality of some of his goals was outstanding, he can score off his left or his right and can play on both flanks.
He's from Drimnagh, so knows the locality, and has helped contribute to full houses in Inchicore, people enjoy coming to watch him play and he gets the supporters off their seats with great individual skill.
As a Coach, wingers have always had a special place in my heart and when Jake plays to his full potential, he is electric.">
Director of Football Ger O'Brien has also been giving his thoughts on today's good news:
"We are delighted that Jake has extended his contract with St Patrick's Athletic.
He was immense for us last season on the pitch but he is also a fantastic person off it.
He is local lad who has a desire to be successful here at the football club.
Jake is one of the best and most exciting wingers in the League and when he is playing to the standards like last season he is a joy to watch for our supporters."
Jake arrived at Richmond Park in January 2023, joining from Major League Soccer side Orlando City, he made over 60 appearances during his three years in the MLS with Atlanta United and then Orlando.
The Dubliner spent his schoolboy career with Crumlin United before moving to Nottingham Forest in 2012, spending two years at The City Ground.
Ireland U21 international Jake joined Queens Park Rangers in December 2014 and made his English League debut on loan at Dagenham and Redbridge in October 2015 before another loan spell at Stevenage.
Mulraney moved to Scotland in June 2016, signing a two year deal with Inverness Caledonian Thistle, winning the Scottish Challenge Cup in 2017-2018, before joining Hearts in May 2018, he made a total of 90 appearances in Scotland.
Jake's next destination was America, and after three seasons with Atlanta and Orlando City, he returned to Dublin to join The Super Saints in January 2023.
