RYAN MEETS THE PRESS

Today at St. Patrick's Athletic FC offices, situated at the site of Richmond Park, new signing Barry Ryan met with members of the press. After participating in a photoshoot, Ryan sat down with local reporters and discussed his future with the Saints and his expectations of the club in 2005.

The veteran goalkeeper commented on how delighted he was to become the latest member of Johnny McDonnell's red and white army. "Johnny told me his plans for the upcoming season and I jumped at the chance," expressed Ryan.

In signing the former Goalkeeper of the Year, McDonnell now has a dynamic duo of shotstoppers vying for the number one jersey in the much anticipated 2005 season. No matter who eventually dawns the jersey, it is safe to say opponents will have a hard time finding the net next season.
