Minnesota's last game was a 2-0 win against Los Angeles FC on Saturday. Robin Lod opened the scoring before the home side's lead was doubled by Bongokuhle Hlongwane, Saints' Manager Jon Daly and the coaching staff were in attendance at Allianz Field.

Minnesota currently sit top of the MLS Western Conference, with ten points from their opening four games.

DALY: "It will be a great test for us"

Daly spoke to our YouTube channel on Monday and is looking forward to this unique experience.

"It will be a great test for us. It's one I'm sure they're very excited for. It's outside the norm of playing the usual teams.

They've got some very quick players in their team and they look very athletic. It will be interesting to see how it goes.

We've got a good group. Hopefully this will bring them a little bit closer together and will help our own current form in the league. We want to start picking up points and that starts with Drogheda Untied when we get back"

REDMOND: "It's a game where we can improve"

Saints captain Joe Redmond is looking forward to leading his side out at the Allianz Field on Wednesday evening and is excited at the prospect of doing so:

"It's been good so far. It's very cold but we've had a good few days and the game is something we're looking forward to.

We've really enjoyed the trip so far, and it's good for us to all get together.

It's going to be a good game on Wednesday with a big crowd in a fantastic stadium. It's a game for us to go out and get minutes and improve."

LENNON: "Everyone is really looking forward to it"

Jamie Lennon has experienced the highs of winning two FAI Cups in the last three last and is relishing what will be another big occasion in his career:

"There will be a good atmosphere at the game. There's going to be a big crowd. Minnesota have had a good start to the season, so it's going to be a tough game for us.

Everyone is really looking forward to it. I think it's something that's completely different than we're used to in the League of Ireland. It's good to get away together for some team bonding and play a match during the international break before we're back to league action the weekend after next."
