Lipsiuc Joins Stoke City
Darius Lipsiuc has joined Championship side Stoke City for an undisclosed fee.
Lipsiuc joined the St Patrick's Athletic Academy in the summer of 2021, having been with his local club St Mochtas since the age of 9.
His performances for our U17s saw him quickly progress into our U19s, with the midfielder featuring in both UEFA Youth League games against Red Star Belgrade during the 2021 season.
Darius was part of our U19 League winning side in 2022 become becoming U19 Captain for 2023.
Lipsiuc made his first team debut and only league appearance for The Super Saints away to Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium in October 2022.
While at St Pat's, Darius made his Republic of Ireland debut, playing for the U17s against Mexico in September 2021 before featuring in the UEFA European Championship qualification campaign for the boys in green, including Elite Phase qualifiers in Portugal, against the hosts, Finland and Bulgaria. He has since been capped at U18 and U19 international level.
We'd like to thank Darius for his efforts and contribution to the club over his two-and-a-half years here and wish him good luck with his move to Stoke and for the future.
