The Saint (Vol 34 #1)

We are delighted to announce that the 'The Saint' returns to print format tonight.

It's great to have it back in its traditional format, and we will continue to publish it digitally too.

In fact, our best ever issues were produced in the digital realm, and we have had to cut back on pagination to physically produce the programme on a cost effective basis, but I'm sure there is still plenty in these pages for you to enjoy.

Great to be working with Joe O'Rourke on design and the rest of the programme team again. After such a dramatic, and rewarding, end to the 2021 season, we enjoyed (and at times endured) a very eventful off season with plenty of departures and arrivals.

Most notably on the managerial front. I'd like to welcome Tim Clancy to Richmond Park, and early signs are indeed providing reassurance that we have a very capable management team in our dugout.

We also have a host of new players, and a significant percentage of familiar faces, wo thr balance feels about right as we look into an exciting season, both at home and abroad.

Last week's win over Shels was very satisfactory, with great displays all over the pitch.

It's great to see Christ Forrester running games in the centre of the park, wearing the armband when required with authority.

It's great to see Chris playing the game with a smile on his face, and his loyalty to the club, and commitment to what makes St Patrick's Athletic special is very evident.

Anyway, let's enjoy tonight's game (and the game against Shamrock Rovers as this is a double edition), it's only the start of a long journey. Buckle up, it's going to be exciting, and The Saint will be with you every step of the way.
