The Saint (Vol 33 #18)

Welcome to Richmond Park, or wherever this programme finds you, for our final Friday Night Lights of the 2021 season.

It seems like we were just getting into our stride in terms of getting our matchday experience back on track, when we will need to put it into cold storage for a few months.

Let's hope that 2022 sees a season in the shape that we all know so well and have missed so much.

It's been a very good season for St Patrick's Athletic.

We have been solidly the second-best side in the country, we want to be the best, but in terms of the ecology of the league, we have disrupted the rhythm in terms of pecking order.

Nobody saw us coming this year and we have blindsided several sides who thought a European spot was a given. One Dublin side in particular, not too far away.

In fairness, we probably didn't see it coming either, but it's been such as a welcome surprise. The mentality, hunger and attitude of our players has been immense. Well done to Stephen O'Donnell, Alan Mathews, the players and all involved. We are now looking to the FAI Cup Final, a game we go to win, with or without a poet.

Finally some thanks, to an incredible team at The Saint, particularly Joe O'Rourke for being an incredible designer and great to work with.

Also, the rest of the team; Pat O'Callaghan, Dermot Looney, Stephen Bennett, Damien Byrne, Johnny Keegan, Jimmy Edwards, Paul Maguire, John Owens, Ian Templeman, Sean Brennan, Sean Creedon, Dave Kelly, Karl Stafford, Jamie Moore, Donal Burke, Anthony Delaney and indeed anyone else who helped out. It has been an absolute pleasure.

We hope you enjoy this week's edition which you can read online or download the PDF version here.
