St Pat's & LUAS Host Underage Tournament

St Patrick's Athletic & Luas (with its operator Transdev), hosted another Youth Football Tournament at Richmond Park this week.

The two-day Halloween tournament took place on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th October, at the home of the Super Saints in Inchicore.

Teams of young people from local youth services (Ring Street CC, St John Bosco Youth Centre, Rialto Fatima Youth Project, Solas Youth Project & Bluebell Youth Project) showed some great skills and had lots of fun, despite the lashing rain on Thursday, with an award ceremony taking place after the final on Thursday.

The two-day event was overseen by UEFA-qualified St Patrick's Athletic coaches as well as our Community Officer David Morrissey, with a number of St Pat's Academy players also in attendance.

You can see more photos on our social media pages & we'll be posting a video of the event over the weekend.

Morrissey said:"It is fantastic to have partnered with Luas once again to deliver a youth tournament at Richmond Park during the Halloween midterm break. Events like this are so important in bringing young people together from the local areas within our community, particularly at a time when young people are looking to fill their time.

We would like to thank Luas, the staff at the youth projects and all of the young people for ensuring a brilliant two days at Richmond Park."

The event was held in line with HSE and Department of Health COVID-19 guidelines
