RIP Gerry Brennan
It was with great sadness that St Patrick's Athletic FC learned of the passing of long time supporter of the club, Gerry Brennan on Tuesday morning.
Gerry was an avid follower of the club for many years and a great supporter to the club for decades, giving a helping hand to the club in many ways be it through sponsorship or even helping in transfers, including famously recommending the signing of striker Ian Gilzean in the 97/98 league winning season.
Gerry, and his late wife Phyllis, were in attendance at all Saints' games and even in recent years despite his ill health, Gerry attentively followed the results of the club and as pictured above, was delighted to be visited in 2013 by then Saints' manager Liam Buckley with the league trophy after the club's success.
Everyone at St Patrick's Athletic FC passes on our condolences to his brother Jack, sister Helen, sister-in-law Carmel, brother-in-law Tony, and all Gerry's nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam - may Gerry rest in peace - Once a Saint, always a Saint.
