Willie Roche RIP

St Patrick's Athletic FC is saddened to hear of the passing of former Supersaint Willie Roche, a long time serving player who featured for the club throughout the 1960's and 70's and featured in the League of Ireland right up to 1981, before going on to manage Drogheda United.

Willie, a brother of Republic of Ireland international and former Manchester United goalkeeper Paddy, is seen here pictured far right with former Irish manager Eoin Hand (left), former Saints' number one Dinny Lowry (left centre) and former Pat's manager Brian Kerr (right centre) at a former players' event before the 2012 FAI Cup Final.

All at St Patrick's Athletic FC pass on our prayers Willie's family, with our thoughts with his wife Pauline and all of his sons and daughters as well as the rest of his friends and family.

Willie will be reposing from Tuesday at his residence from 6pm-8pm, while Funeral Mass is on Wednesday at the Church of the Holy Child, Whitehall Parish, arriving for 10.00am Funeral Mass. Burial is immediately afterwards at Dardistown Cemetery.
