Preview: Saints Vs Sligo

St Patrick's Athletic host Sligo Rovers on bank holiday Monday in Richmond Park as they aim to return to winning ways in the SSE Airtricity League (kick-off 3pm).

The game is currently being monitored following the poor weather conditions over the weekend and the Saints, in consultation with the FAI, will give an update on Monday morning ahead of the proposed 3pm kick-off time in relation to the condition of the Richmond Park pitch.

In team news, the Saints will give a late fitness test to Jamie Lennon, while manager Liam Buckley will make a number of decisions on players who picked up knocks during the 1-0 defeat to Shamrock Rovers last Friday.

"We weren't happy with the result and performance on Friday. Losing a Dublin derby is always disappointing, especially when the opposition score late in the game. We cannot dwell on the result though, and we have to show that we can bounce back against Sligo.

"We know that Sligo will be tough opponents. They picked up a good point against Bohemians on Friday and will be looking for another positive result on Monday in Inchicore. Games between the sides are often open games so another entertaining match will be on view as both teams look to play football in the right way."
