Result: Saints 1 - Shelbourne 2

St Pat's continued their pre-season preperations as they narrlowly lost to Shelbourne at the Blancherstown IT.

Saints' manager Liam Buckley made 7 changes to the side who started against Bray Wanderers in the Leinster Senior Cup last week as he looks to give his squad game time before the season starts in just under 3 weeks time.

Shels took the lead early in the first half when Rory Feely diverted the ball into his own net following a corner kick.

Conan Byrne equalized for the Saints just before half-time when he finished off a good move involving Graham Kelly and Christy Fagan.

Changes at half-time and during the second disrupted the momentum of the game but Shels grabbed a late winner when Adam Evans dispossessed Sam Verdon and fired the ball past Barry Murphy.
