Travel Information For EA Sports Cup Final

On Saturday the Saints take on Limerick in the final of the EA Sports Cup at the Markets Field.

The Patron Saints are running a train for the fixture and here are some important details for those travelling:

  • Tickets for the train will be given out in the bar in Heuston Station on Saturday from 10.45am

  • We will be in carriages C, D & E and Irish Rail have advised supporters to be on the train by 11.30am at the latest.

  • The train departs at 12pm and arrives in Limerick at 2.15pm (there is a change of train in Limerick Junction at 1.30pm)

  • The Library Bar is the designated Saints Pub for the day, and there will be drink and food promotions on offer. (The bar is 5 mins walk from the Train Station, 10 mins walk to Markets Field - see map below)

  • Match kick-off is 5.30pm

  • The return train departs at 8.45pm sharp and arrives back in Heuston Station at 10.55pm (There is a change of train in Limerick Junction at 9.15pm)

  • If the match goes to extra time, the train will depart at 9pm sharp

  • Please remember that you are representing the club while travelling, inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

  • There will be stewards from the club and Irish Rail security on board the train.

  • Match tickets are currently available from the club, and we advise anyone travelling to purchase them before Saturday.

  • Limerick have advised that away supporters are the East Stand section of the ground

    Patrons allocation on the train is paid for and fully booked. If you are not in a position to travel please contact the Patrons on the email address below asap and we'll try to fill the spot. There'll be no refunds given unless we can fill the spot.

    Anyone not paid up or on the list, can book the same train we are travelling on via www.irishrail.ie but won't get the special group discount.
