Do You Know The Way To Richmond Park?

St Patrick's Athletic are announcing a new events programme called "Do you know the way to Richmond Park?".

The programme will have many exciting activities involving local businesses, schools and clubs; which will be announced over the coming months.

The programme is designed to help build towards the centenary celebrations of 100 years of the Irish State in 2016.

The aim of the programme is to build more awareness of the hidden gem of Richmond Park in the heart of the Inchicore-Kilmainham historic area of Dublin.

Hidden behind a row of red brick houses along Emmet Road, Richmond Park is a stadium steeped in history.

It is the home of St Patrick's Athletic FC, a club that is at the top of Irish soccer with recent League and FAI Cup wins under its belt.

"Community is very important to the club, but we have a wider fan base than just the immediate area," said Garrett Kelleher, Chairman of the club.

"What we have discovered is that outside of the very local fan-base there are thousands of soccer fans who don't know where this historic football ground actually is.

We hope that this programme will build a better awareness of this great facility and high quality soccer entertainment that we offer on Friday nights in Richmond Park".
