St Pat's Receive Licence

St Patrick's Athletic FC are pleased to confirm that the club has been awarded a League Licence - Premier Division for the 2006 season.

Club Licensing Officer Stephen Connelly was informed of the decision last night and praised all those involved in the process. "We are delighted to achieve our licence once again and it is testament to the the hard work and commitment put in by all those involved in the club at every level. This is the first time the club has been awarded a licence without having to go through the appeals process and this achievement is an indication of the forward progress we have made over the last couple of years at the club. We must now continue to build on that momentum. UEFA and the FAI continue to raise the standards so we cannot sit still."

"I must also extend great thanks to everyone in the FAI's Club Licensing section. They provided great assistance to ensure we provided all the requisite information for the First Instance Committee to show our compliance with the licensing requirements."

The licence has been awarded subject to sanctions. Stephen Connelly explained, "we are in the middle of upgrade works on the ground and have been awarded our licence subject to having the majority of this work completed prior to the start of the season. The FAI's Licensing section will send representatives before our first league match to confirm that our ground does meet the criteria. This marks a change on previous years where a club merely had to have a plan in place to complete the works".
