Saints Close Gap With Win

Goals were aplenty tonight as St Pat's beat Bray Wanderers 3-2 at Richmond Park.

The Saints were ahead in 14th minute when Chris Forrester beat Stephen McGuinness following a wonderful Conan Byrne cross from the right wing.

The home team enjoyed the majority of the possession, but against the run of play, former Saint Jake Kelly scored from a tight angle to draw the sides level going into half-time.

Christy Fagan, the league's top goalscorer going into the game with 13 goals, increased his tally to 15 with two goals in the second half.

A wonderful free kick from Jake Kelly with just over 10 minutes remaining brought Bray back into the game, but the Saints saw out the final minutes to seal the win.
