Clarke Gets Nomination
St Patrick's Athletic goalkeeper Brendan Clarke has been nominated for the Airtricity/SWAI Goalkeeper of the Year award for 2013.
The Saints' keeper, who already claimed the number one jersey in the 2013 PFAI Team of the Year for his excellent form during the year, faces competition from former Saints' keeper Gary Rogers (Sligo Rovers) and Dundalk goalkeeper Peter Cherrie.
Clarke would create history by becoming the first ever Saints' keeper to claim the award should he be named winner in January.
Previous nominees from the Saints include Chris Adamson (2003), Barry Ryan (2006) and Gary Rogers (2011), while Clarke himself was previously nominated for the award in 2011.
