SAINTS RETURN TO LEAGUE ACTION
St Patrick's Athletic return to Airtricity League action after their Europa League adventures tomorrow (Monday) as they travel to Leeside to take on Cork City at Turner's Cross (kick off: 7.45 pm).
It's the Saints' first league game since they drew 1-1 with UCD in Belfield on 22nd July and comes after their defeat to Bundesliga side Hannover '96 in Germany last Thursday.
Liam Buckley remains without long term absentee Mark Rossiter (knee) while Stephen O'Flynn (rib) and Dean Kelly (groin) also remain out.
Jake Carroll misses out through suspension but new signing Vinny Faherty is available and may be in line to make his first appearance of the season in his second spell at the club.
With the European adventure over Liam Buckley told stpatsfc.com that he is looking forward to using the experience gained to get his side back into the league title race.
"We're really looking forward to Monday's game and we always like going to Cork because it's one of the best grounds in the league.
"The European thing was great while it last but it's over now. What it gives us is an appreciation of how tough it is against really good teams but we acquitted ourselves well overall.
"We can learn from it and use the experience to get back into the mix in the league starting on Monday.
"Cork are a good side who are in decent form at the moment. They play a good style of football and if we both play well it should be a very good game."
