O'FLYNN THE HERO AS SAINTS PROGRESS

A Stephen O'Flynn goal in the first half of extra time was needed to give the Saints an away goals victory over IBV in Iceland.

Matt Garner's goal with just eight minutes left of normal time brought the game to extra time and the Icelandic team took the lead in the extra period through Eythór Helgi Birgisson.

It was two substitutes who combined for the Saints' crucial away goal with Jake Kelly setting up O'Flynn to see the Saints advance in Europe once again.

Next up for Liam Buckley's men is a trip to Bosnia to face Široki Brijeg in the first leg of the Second Qualifying Round next Thursday.
