U18s - St Pat’s V Dundalk

This will be the side's third meeting of the season. Dundalk are the current league leaders with Pats in 8th.

Dundalk have beaten UCD/Mount Merrion in both the Leinster Youth Cup (1-0) and again a week later in The Ferrari Cup (2-1 aet) in their last two matches.

Pat's have been on a good run of form lately winning their 3 games since returning after the Christmas break.

They have beaten St Joseph's Boys/ Bray Wanderers 2-1 away from home, Drogheda United 4-1 at home in the Ferrari Cup to reach the semi-finals and last weekend they beat Shamrock Rovers 4-0 in the league.

Since resigning from Shamrock Rovers – Pats striker Karl Tims has struck a rich vein of form scoring 5 goals in his sides last 3 games

Craig Smithers and Keifer Byrne's midfield partnership has blossomed again following Craig's return from Pats 19s – the goals have begun to flow - 10 in the last 3 games.

A lot of hard work has been done by Pats on the training pitch working on defence and the side kept their first clean sheet of the season – much to the pleasure of the Pat's net minder Andy Callaly.

Pat's Injuries

Lukasz Wroble (knee) – injured against Shamrock Rovers following preliminary examinations Lukasz looks like being out for the rest of the season.

Lee Gerarty (ankle) – suffered torn ligaments at the weekend also against Rovers and is out for 4/6 weeks.
