So Who Are FC Karpaty Lviv?

The Saints make the 2,500km journey this week to the Ukranian city of Lviv for Thursday's Europa League Third Qualifying Round match.

Here is some information about the opposition:

FC Karpaty are ranked 146 in European football, and are no strangers to the Europa League having made it to the group stages last year.

Drawn with Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain FC and Sevilla FC, the Lviv outfit managed a solitary point.

They qualified for the 2011/12 competition by finishing fifth in last year's Ukraine Premier League.

The new season has just begun in the Ukraine and Karpaty have picked up one point following their opening three games.

Karpaty play at the Ukraina Stadium in Lviv which has a capacity of just over 28,000.
