PENO SENDS SAINTS NORTH

A second half Danny North penalty was enough to give the Saints three points against Bray and send them to the top of the Airtricity League Premier Division table.

In a game played in torrential downpour a goal from either side always looked likely to clinch the points.

The breakthrough came after Adam Mitchell handled the ball on the line. Referee Neil Doyle pointed to the spot and sent the young Bray defender off.

North converted the penalty, his 11th league goal of the season, to send the Saints off to Iceland sitting top of the table.
