IS THE CROSS BORDER CUP GOING NORTH OR SOUTH?

Paddy the Panther the club mascot of St Patrick's Athletic today warned Denis the Menace of Bohemians today that the Setanta Sports Cup won't be going North of the Liffey on Saturday.

Both Dublin clubs meet in the final of the all-island club competition Setanta Sports Cup, in Tallaght Stadium this weekend with a lot more than local pride at stake.

The victors will join a shortlist of the previous winners of the cross-border competition which includes Cork, Drogheda and Linfield.

This will be the first chance of silverware for the Inchicore club since their League Cup win in 2003 and tickets for the final are selling quickly.

From an allocation of 2,000 tickets less than 300 tickets remain to be sold at their club shop on Emmet Road.

The club is asking all supporters to purchase their tickets early to avoid disappointment and to contact the club shop on 01 478 0478. The club shop is opening late until 7.00pm Tuesday,Wednesday & Thursday
