CLONDALKIN SCHOOL COMPLETE SOCCER COACHING

Students from 4th class in Scoil Talbot, Clondalkin were the latest class group to complete the St Pat's Challenge bringing to over 500 the numbers of children who have completed the soccer coaching course run by St Patrick's Athletic FC.

Saints defender Shane Guthrie was on hand to present the students with certificates as well as with mini season tickets for their efforts in completing the course.

Shane recommended to the young people that “they should simply enjoy their sport, not to take it too seriously and to play with a smile on your face”.

The six week course begins with a class visit which highlights exclusion bullying and encourages the students to look out for each in and out of the classroom as well as on and off the pitch.

The course in run in partnership with the Clondalkin Youth Services.
