TEAM NEWS: DUNDALK V ST PATRICK’S ATHLETIC

Airtricity league leaders St Patrick's Athletic travel to Oriel Park to take on third placed Dundalk on Friday night with the Saints hoping to continue their impressive start to the season.

Team News

Pete Mahon has a full squad to choose from having rested a number of first team players on Monday night when they lost to Drogheda United in the Leinster Senior Cup.

Manager's Quote

“I was impressed with Dundalk against Shamrock Rovers, they have some very experienced players both from the UK and from here and they will be formidable opponents.

They have a bit of an advantage with the pitch as they train on it every day but we will just have to adapt and I have every confidence that we will.

The forwards for Dundalk are very technical players, very experienced players and they bring in the runners from midfield.

So they will present us with a different challenge to what we were up against last Friday with UCD. We will have to be vigilant.

It a good start but that's all it is - a good start.

The fact that we have not conceded a goal is a great platform to build on.

But this game on Friday and the Setanta game will test us to the hilt.” – Pete Mahon.
