SAINTS BACK IN LEINSTER SENIOR CUP TONIGHT

Airtricty League leaders, St Patrick's Athletic FC take on Drogheda United in the Leinster Senior Cup tonight at Richmond Park, kick off 7.30pm.

It will be a case of third time lucky for playing this first round match as it was originally set to be played in February but was rescheduled at Drogheda's request and then just over a week ago it was cancelled due to a frozen pitch at Richmond Park.

Pat's management team of John Gill and Pete Mahon are expected to freshen up their side for game with the introduction of a number of squad players yet to feature this season as well as one or two from the reserve side.

Asked what he would like to see from tonight's new team inclusions, assistant coach John Gill said “really we just want more of what we've been getting – plenty of honest, hard effort and if they show that we'll be happy, you can have all the ability in the world but if you don't have the desire to work hard then it's not worth a curse.”

St Patrick's Athletic FC V Drogheda United kicks off at 7.30pm and tickets are available in the club shop priced €10 adults and €5 concession.
