BERNARD BARNEY MCCARTHY RIP

Last weekend Inchicore and St Patrick's Athletic lost one of its great characters in the sad passing of Barney McCarthy.

Barney was ball-getter, signmaker, kitman, stilesman, assistant groundsman, car minder, Pat's fan and overall nice guy.

Anybody that had any involvement with St.Patricks Athletic will have a story to tell about Barney. During the 70's,80's and 90's Barney did every job that needed to be done in Harolds Cross and Richmond Park.

Barney helped spread the Pats word around Inchicore and our community will be missing one of it's great people.

To his family we would like to pass on our condolences and thank them for letting Barney be part of our club.
