ELAVATOR GIVE ST PATS EUROPEAN DVD A LIFT
Greg Clifford is a long-time fan of St Patrick's Athletic so when the club needed some backing music to accompany their new “Saints in Europe” DVD Greg and his band - Elavator were only too happy to oblige.
The Inchicore club had set aside a budget to produce a DVD to commemorate their historic 2008 UEFA Cup campaign.
However higher than expected costs incurred in securing television footage, meant that the club was forced to produce the DVD on a very limited budget.
With no funding available for commercial music Greg and his bandmates came to the club's rescue.
Their track “Revolver” now features at the start of the “Saints in Europe” DVD over a montage of UEFA Cup action.
Greg who is lead singer with Elavator said “ I was at most of the European games myself and they were pretty special so I was delighted to help out ”.
In appreciation of their support, St Pat's presented Greg and fellow band mate Keith Mahon with copies of their new “Saints in Europe” DVD.
“It's worked out well, I can now watch the Supersaints in action and listen to the band at the same time which is probably as good as it gets”, added Greg.
