SAINTS LOOK TO DEVELOP SCHOOLBOY LINKS

As a club competing in the eircom League, it is only natural that most of the public attention on St Patrick's Athletic is focused on our first team.

However, no matter how much time and effort is spent on the senior team, a Club cannot progress long-term if it does not develop a Youth structure capable of producing players who may one day compete for a place in the senior team.

Currently, there is a full structure of youth teams from our under 10's right up to our under 20's as well as a ladies team, all of whom play for St Patrick's Athletic.

A lot more can be done to develop the links between us all, and we are currently in the process of working with the new Committee of the schoolboys and the management of the ladies team to address this.

To showcase these teams to our fans and to recognise their contribution to the club, a parade of all St Pat's teams and their coaches will take place at halftime on the pitch in our FAI Cup semi Final match with Bohs on Friday 24th October.

A cheque presentation to the chairman of St Pat's schoolboys will follow and we hope all our supporters in attendance will join with the club in showing appreciation of all their hard work.

Parents and coaches from the schoolboy section will also be collecting money throughout the evening, and we will match whatever amount is raised by the public.
