SAINTS ON TOUR
FOLLOWING their recent success in lifting the Topflight sponsored DDSL Cup, Brian Dalton's Under 16's headed to the UK for a two match tour of Tyneside. A party of 15 players and 4 coaches travelled and they played two matches on their tour, against the academy teams of Middlesborough and Newcastle United.
It was a great success even if the results went against the Saints. In their first match against Newcastle they lost 3-2 leading 2-1 with 10 minutes left. The following day tired from the previous days exertions they again lost 2-0 to Middlesborough.
Despite the defeats the experience was very worthwhile and the Saints won plenty of new friends and admirers.
