Barry Ryan Signs New Contract
St. Patrick’s Athletic wish to confirm that goalkeeper Barry Ryan has signed an extended contract until the end of season 2009 with the club.
Director of Football, Brian Kerr, said that Barry has shown that he sees the long-term potential of the club and wishes to be part of the future success.
Team Manager, John Mc Donnell said “I’m delighted that Barry has committed to the club for the long-term. He has been one of the most consistent players this season. He has done very well for us over the last few seasons and I feel the club and its supporters have helped him develop into the League’s best goalkeeper.”
Barry himself had this to say “I’m delighted to have committed to St. Patrick’s Athletic for the next two and a half years. I’ve enjoyed this season and the profile the team has had. It’s very obvious that the club has made real progress on and off the pitch this season and is heading in the right direction. I very much want to be part of the future in Inchicore and would like to thank the club, its staff and supporters for their faith in me. Like all the players I am very disappointed at recent results, but I know there is a great desire within the team to maintain our challenge for trophies this season and we will be giving our best efforts for the remainder of the season.”
