SUNDAY'S LEINSTER FA YOUTH CUP 1/4 FINAL UPDATE

OUR UNDER 17s CONTINUE their quest for silverware this season when they take on Belvedere in the Quarter Finals of the Leinster FA Youth Cup in Brickfields this Sunday at 12:30.

Belvedere are rated as one of the top three sides in the country having won the last three All-Ireland finals as they came up through the various age groups. They also won the Under 16 Premier Division last year.

With players like Stephen Lawless, Dinny Corocoran and David Connolly the Saints will have their hands full. This will be the first meeting of the two sides this year having failed to cross paths so far in the current league campaign.

The Saints will be hoping to build upon their hard fought 1-0 win over Drogheda Boys in the last round. David Foran is the squad’s only injury worry, all the other squad members have reported fit. David Fagan, Andy Haran, Shane Shortall and Noel Haverty have all hit form at the right time - in what will be a very tight and close game.
