Saints V Rovers Cup Semi-Final On Friday 27th

One semi-final of this season's FAI Carlsberg Cup will be an All-Dublin affair after the Saints were drawn away to Shamrock Rovers in this evenings draw.

Former Ireland goalkeeper Alan Kelly drew the teams from the drum broadcast live on RTE's 6.1 news.

Saints boss John McDonnell responded to the draw with a mix of caution and optimism when he said:

"They have beaten us already this season, in the League Cup but we have struck a bit of good form at the moment and I don't think any team would want to play us in the form we are in."

The match will take place in Tolka Park on Friday 27th October 2006 with a likely kickoff time of 7:35pm.

The other semi-final will see League Cup winners Derry City travel to take on Sligo Rovers in the Showgrounds. It will take place on Sunday 29th October 2006 with a kickoff time to be decided. Both matches will be shown live on RTÉ.

Full details will appear on stpatsfc.com as soon as they become available.
