Goalkeeper Dean Lyness (31), joined St Pat's in March 2023, and made his debut for the club in a 2-2 draw away to Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium on March 17th.

He made two outstanding waves in the closing minutes as The Saints secured a point.

Dean, from Bermingham, has made over 120 senior apperacnes in England and Scotland.

He spent his early career with Birmingham City, Hearts and East Fife, he made his first senior appearances for Kidderminster Harriers in 2011 before joined Burton Albion in 2012, making 37 appearances for them during his four year spell.

A move to Blackpool followed in 2015 before one season with Nuneaton Town in 2017/18, Lyness then moved to Scotland where he played for St Mirren, Raith Rovers and Airdrieonians before signing for St Pat's earlier this season after an injury to Danny Rogers left The Saints with just one fit senior goalkeeper on the books (David Odumosu)

Dean was on the bench for the matches agaisnt Dundalk, Sligo Rovers and Bohemoans, before making his debut in Tallaght, he wears the numer 36 jersey at Richmond Park.
