Having made his League of Ireland debut as a 14-year-old for Shamrock Rovers 2 during the 2020 League of Ireland First Division season, Sam joined the St Pat's Academy in July 2021.

Curtis featured for our U19s in the UEFA Youth League against Red Star Belgrade in 2021 and was part of our U19 League winning squad last season.

Curtis made his senior debut for the club in August 2021, replacing the injured Lee Desmond in injury time of a 2-1 win over Waterford at Richmond Park, making him the club's youngest ever player at 15 years and 255 days old.

Sam signed his first professional contract with St Pat's in January 2022, his older brother Ben (now Drogheda United) also signed professional terms that day.

The former Park Villa and St Kevin's Boys man became St Pat's youngest ever starter in the modern era (aged 16) against Drogheda United in May 2022.

He played the full 90 minutes in a 4-0 win in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division at Head In The Game Park.

He won the St Pat's 'Manguard Plus' Player of the Month award twice last season (May and September), and made 20 senior appearances in 2022, starting 18 league games and coming off the bench in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers against NS Mura and CSKA Sofia.

Sam is an Ireland underage international at U15, U16, U17, U18 and U19 level and has captained his country on a number of occasions.

Signed for Sheffield United after the 2023 season.
