Dave Henderson was one of Brian Kerr's first signings in the summer of 1987.
Dave came to St Pats from Drogheda United having previously played with Shamrock Rovers, Toronto Blizzard and Vancouver Whitecaps and had been a member of the Irish Olympic squad the previous year.
He was an Irish U21 International. Dave had previously played for 'The Saints' from the summer of the 1982 until the end of the 1983-84 season when Charlie Walker was Manager.
During his latter time with St Pat's, Dave established himself as the leading goalkeeper in the country and was rewarded with a League Championship medal in 1990.
His unassuming demeanor disguised an outstanding talent which was a major contributory factor in the renaissance of St Patrick's Athletic in the early 1990's.
Dave rejoined Shamrock Rovers at the start of the 1991-92 season.
Dave scored from a kick-out in the 3-0 win against Home Farm in the League Cup on August 14th 1988!
