Barry Ryan
- Position: Goalkeeper
- Number: 1
- Age: 46 (28th August, 1978)
Clare born Barry made his league debut for UCD in February 1997, aged only 18. He quickly established himself as first choice and a string of excellent displays helped UCD qualify for the Inter toto Cup where Barry saw his first European action. He was voted "Goalkeeper of the Year" by the SWAI in 2002 (an award he has been nominated for several times since).
After a forgettable spell with Shamrock Rovers in 2003-2004, Barry started to rebuild his career with now defunct Dublin City. At the end of 2004 season Barry signed with the Saints.
Barry has maintained a very high level of play since he joined and is universally recognised as one of the best 'keeprs in the league.
Barry's late father Noel played with Cork Celtic in the 1970s.
Previous Clubs: Shamrock Rovers, UCD, Cloughleigh Celtic, Dublin City
