Walking Football Sponsorship Announcement
Ballyfermot Inchicore Credit Union have been announced as sponsors of the Saints In The Community Walking Football programme for the next two years.
A number of the players joined St Patrick's Athletic Head of Community Ian Dunne and Bridget Hynes, CEO of Ballyfermot Inchicore Credit Union, at Richmond Park to mark today's partnership announcement.
St Patrick's Athletic Head of Community Ian Dunne has welcomed today's positive news:
"We're extremely grateful to Ballyfermot Inchicore Credit Union for their support of our Walking Football Programme. Partnering with organisations like this is key to us being able to provide a programme like Walking Football and most importantly making it cost free to participants, this sponsorship allows us to do that.
Our Walking Football Programme has grown significantly since we started in early 2025 and we hope to continue this growth over the coming months. Our Friday social sessions are open to all men aged 50+ and women aged 40+. We also field three competitive teams in the Irish Walking Football league so there's a level there for all."
Bridget Hynes, CEO of Ballyfermot Inchicore Credit Union added:
"We're delighted to partner with the St Patrick's Athletic Walking Football Team, supporting a brilliant initiative that promotes inclusion, health and community spirit.
At Ballyfermot Inchicore Credit Union, we're proud to invest in local organisations that bring people together and make a real difference.
We look forward to supporting the teams in the coming years and here's to many great moments together on and off the pitch."
Those who wish to find out more information about this free programme for women over 40 and men over 50 can email Ian.dunne@stpatsfc.com or pop down to Bluebell Community Centre on Friday's from 11am-12pm.
