Grivosti Injury Update
Tom Grivosti suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate knee ligament in Friday's win against Dundalk & will be facing a number of months on the sidelines, the injury will require surgery to repair.
The 23-year-old centre back returned from a hamstring injury earlier this month, coming off the bench against Drogheda United before starting against Shamrock Rovers, Shelbourne & Dundalk & played a key role in three wins in those four matches.
Grivosti said on his Instagram page: "I'm gutted to find out that I ruptured my ACL on Friday.
I just want to thank everyone for the messages & also the medical staff who looked after me on Friday & over the weekend, the support I've had has been unbelievable.
I've been here before and I'll be back!"
Manager Jon Daly added: "We're all really disappointed for Tom as it's a serious injury & he had only just come back into the team after a hamstring problem which kept him out for a couple of months.
Tom has been an important player for us over the last 18 months & is well liked in the dressing and among the supporters, we'll miss him for the rest of the season.
Tom is a strong character and we know he'll bounce back from this, he'll do his rehab properly and come back stronger."
Everyone at St Pat's wishes Tom well in his recovery, we look forward to seeing him back on the pitch in due course.
