ST PATS TOP FUTSAL GROUP

Comprised of some of the best players from the Brian Kerr / SARI Futsal league, the St Pats team made a great start to series 1 and 2 to the inter club Futsal tournament on Saturday last at the Basket Ball Arena in Tallaght.

St Pats beat Shelbourne 8-1 with Maciej Lewandowski scoring a hat-trick but the second game proved a far tighter affair with Shamrock Rovers scoring a goal in the final minute to rescue the points in a 2-2 draw.

Commenting afterwards, manager Ovidiu Matiut said ‘the game with Rovers was a strange one, we led after 30 seconds and then they equalised in the final seconds.

It was a bit disappointing but the main thing is we currently top the group and we can look ahead now to next weekend's games”.

St Pat's play Bray and Shelbourne at 11.00am and 12.40 pm in next Saturday's Series 3 and 4 rounds at Dublin City University.
