Job Notice - Community Officer

St Patrick's Athletic will shortly have a vacancy for a Community Officer, with responsibility for delivering and further developing the very successful community programme which has been in place since 2018. This will include:

> maintaining existing relationships and developing new ones with schools, community groups and childrens' sports clubs
> delivering social and lifestyle programmes to the above
> working with the Club's qualified coaching staff in delivering these programmes
> maintaining a strong working relationship with Dublin City Council as the anchor funder of the programme and as a collaborator in various initiatives at local level
> maintaining existing relationships and developing new ones with statutory, voluntary and private bodies where there are synergies between their work and the programme
> working proactively to source additional funding for the programmes from corporate and individual donors.

The contract will initially be for a 12-month period. The successful candidate will report on a day-to-day basis to the General Manager and his/her work will be overseen by the CSR/Community Sub-Group of the Board.

The post is full-time (39 hours per week) and will entail some evening and weekend work. Flexibility is essential. The base location is in Inchicore, Dublin 8. Salary will be negotiable.
