St Patrick's V Drogheda United

Drogheda United will look to make it four wins from four games against St Patrick's Athletic this season when the sides meet at Richmond Park, kick-off 7.45pm.

St Pat's want to end that run and move clear at the top of the table until at least Sunday, when Shamrock Rovers play Bohemians in Tallaght.

All of the St Pat's players involved in the Airtricity Challenge avoided injury, which means that Gareth Coughlan (broken leg) is the only player unavailable.

Assistant manager John Gill said: '[It] is a chance for us to push on at home and perhaps put a little bit of pressure on Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers, but we know from experience how tough Drogheda can be.

'They've beaten us three times already this season and we don't want another situation like we had with Galway last year, when we lost all four league encounters.

'They've been very close games against Drogheda and on both occasions in the league I thought we were unlucky not to come away with a result. We'll be at home and we'll need to take full advantage of that.'

Drogheda will be hoping to put in a better display than they did in the defeat to bottom side Bray Wanderers last week.

Assistant manager Darius Kierans said: 'We had a bad day at the office last week, but I looked at the DVD and for 60 minutes we dominated the game and restricted Bray to a few chances.

'Pats are a very capable team and they are full of experience and were always going to challenge for the title and they could easily be there come the end of the season.

'Pete (Mahon) has done a great job with the budget that he has been given and they will give us a tough test.'

Joe Kendrick's departure from the club this week has added to Drogheda's injury and suspensions woes.

Alan McNally, Corie Treacy, Eric McGill and Paul Crowley are banned, Brendan McGill, Jamie Harris and Darragh McNamara are injured and Glen Fitzpatrick is a doubt.
