UCD will be hoping get one over former manager Pete Mahon when they take on St Patrick's Athletic at Richmond Park, kick-off 7.45pm.

The Students will travel to Inchicore on the back of a decent start to the season. They beat Drogheda United 3-0 away on the opening night and narrowly lost out to league champions Bohemians 1-2, having led the game through a Greg Bolger penalty.

Bolger is suspended for the trip to Inchicore after getting sent off in the clash with the Gypsies, while Paul Corry, Sean Harding and Ger Barron all remain out injured.

College boss Martin Russell may also have to plan without Robbie Creevey and Brian Shorthall as both are carrying knocks.

Brian Cash is suspended for Saints but Noel Haverty returns after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Boss Pete Mahon has no serious injury worries ahead of the visit of his old side UCD.

Mahon said: 'We're only two games into the season so we won't be getting carried away with ourselves and it's my job to make sure everyone keeps working hard and that no one takes their eye off the ball.

'I would especially like to acknowledge the wonderful support we had on Tuesday night, over 600 supporters were there to get behind the team and that for the players and the coaching staff was great to see. Hopefully the Pat's fans will come out in force again on Friday night.'
