St Patrick’s Athletic have today been handed a tough draw against 1986 European champions Steaua Bucharesti in the fourth round of the Europa League qualifiers.

The Dublin side earned their place in the draw after their dramatic away-goals victory against Russian side Krylya Sovetov last night.

The first leg will be played in Bucharest on August 20 with the second leg a week later.

Elsewhere in the draw, Everton, who finished fifth in the Premier League and 2009 FA Cup finalists, were drawn against Czech side Sigma Olomouc, with Martin O’Neill’s Aston Villa facing Austria's Rapid Vienna.

Roy Hodgson’s Fulham, who were surprise qualifiers having finished seventh in the Premier League last season, face a long trip east to take on Amkar Perm of Russia.

City rivals Roma and Lazio will both expect to progress to the group phase after being drawn against Slovakian side Kosice and Swedish team Elfsborg respectively, while Genoa, who narrowly missed out on fourth place in Serie A last season, are up against Danish opposition in the shape of Odense.
