Preview: Bohs V Saints

Bohemians host Saint Patrick's Athletic in Monday night's televised eircom League of Ireland game. Friday was a good day for both sides in League action. The Saints opened up an eight point lead at the top while Bohs climbed third in the top flight.

Bohs go into Monday's game nine points behind the league leaders and they could climb to second with Drogheda not playing until Tuesday night. Bohs recorded their eighth clean sheet in the league this season in beating Galway 1-0 on Friday night and one of those clean sheets came against the Saints when the sides met in Inchicore in April - Bohs becoming the first side to take a point off their Dublin rivals this season.

The Saints may have stumbled after their loss in Cork recently but they bounced back last week to record two wins - including that huge win over Drogheda last Monday night. They have now won nine of their twelve league games to date and have outscored everyone else in the division.

John-Paul Kelly is back after a ban for Bohs. Kevin Hunt missed out on Friday through illness and although still a slight doubt he could also return. Dean Pooley, Fergal Harkin and Harpal Singh look set to remain sidelined by injuries.

Alan Kirby returned after injury on Friday night and assuming he has suffered no reaction to his groin injury, he should continue. Stephen Paisley missed out with an ankle injury on Friday and could again be a doubt. Joseph Ndo may also not yet be ready to return after injury.
