Bray Wanderers dug deep to earn a draw against the Saints tonight in an entertaining game at Richmond Park.
Robbie Griffin opened the scoring early in the game (22nd minute), and things looked good for the Supersaints when Wesley Charles was sent-off in an off the ball incident with Ger McCarthy.
The Saints had plenty of chances but John Walsh pulled off some great saves to keep the Wanderers in the game.
Bray leveled things during the second half when a well struck free from Colm Tresson evaded Shay Kelly and ended up in the back of the net.
The drama continued late into the game when the Saints scored but mysteriously were awarded a penalty after a handball in the Bray box. Martin Russell stepped up but was thwarted by Walsh with another fine save.
