St Patrick's Athletic 8 - Pike Rovers 0

ST PAT'S EARNED a new club record win in the FAI Cup by scoring eight goals without reply against Pike Rovers.

Two goals each for Billy Dennehy, Mark Timlin and Graham Kelly and a goal apiece from Michael Barker and Dinny Corcoran ensured the Saints had the most comfortable of routes to the next round.

The game was good as over after four minutes as goals from Dennehy and Timlin gave the home side a two-goal lead.

Liam Buckley's team failed to add to their tally after 61 minutes but Kelly did miss a penalty late on to complete his hat-trick.
